Patrick Faure, born in 1946 in France, is a respected French businessman known for his long-standing career at Renault and his influence in the world of Formula 1. He joined Renault in the early 1970s, progressing through various roles until he became head of the company's motorsport division in the late 1990s. As President of Renault Sport, Faure was instrumental in Renault’s return to Formula 1 as a fully integrated team, following the acquisition of the Benetton team in 2000. Under Faure’s leadership, Renault quickly rose to prominence, culminating in two consecutive Drivers' and Constructors' Championships with Fernando Alonso in 2005 and 2006. His focus on innovation, strategic partnerships, and competitive engineering solidified Renault's status as a major force in Formula 1.
